Things that help

• Pull tees toward the middle. Tees stuck in the three corners are the hardest to get rid of, so clear the corners early while they still have a neighbor to jump.
• Keep the tees in one group. Two tees far apart with empty holes between them can never meet.
• Starting with a hole in the middle of an edge (holes 4, 6 or 13) feels different from a corner start, but both come out to one.
• If you have more than one jump that works, take the one that leaves the fewest tees alone on the edges.

How to score it

One tee left is the whole game. Two left is sharp. Three is respectable. Four or more, put the tees back and go again.
